Bioneers www.bioneers.org
Bioneers promote an emerging culture of social and scientific innovators who are mimicking nature's operating instructions to serve human ends while enriching the web of life. We take a "solve-the-whole-problem" approach: Taking care of nature means taking care of people - and taking care of people means taking care of nature.
Institute for Policy Studies www.ips-dc.org
The Institute for Policy Studies turns Ideas into Action for Peace, Justice and the Environment. We strengthen social movements with independent research, visionary thinking, and links to the grassroots, scholars and elected officials. I.F. Stone once called IPS "the think tank for the rest of us." Since 1963, we have empowered people to build healthy and democratic societies in communities, the US, and the world.
B-Sustainable www.b-sustainable.org
Knowing where we are helps us better understand our choices for getting to where we want to be. B-Sustainable empowers sustainability advocates and practitioners with the information they need to take effective action – both independently and together.
United for a Fair Economy www.faireconomy.org
United for a Fair Economy is a national, independent, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. UFE raises awareness that concentrated wealth and power undermine the economy, corrupt democracy, deepen the racial divide, and tear communities apart. We support and help build social movements for greater equality.
Equality Trust www.equalitytrust.org.uk
Great inequality is the scourge of modern societies. We provide the evidence on each of eleven different health and social problems: physical health, mental health, drug abuse, education, imprisonment, obesity, social mobility, trust and community life, violence, teenage births, and child well-being. For all eleven of these health and social problems, outcomes are very substantially worse in more unequal societies. The Equality Trust campaigns to gain the widest public and political understanding of the harm caused by inequality.
